There are plenty of things to enjoy when celebrating Mother’s Day in Niagara Falls Canada. So stop and smell the Magnolia trees and don’t forget to bring your camera.  Queen Victoria Park is located at the foot of Clifton Hill and has a lovely display of plants that bring that long-awaited splash of colour that symbolizes Spring has sprung.  Brilliant yellows and white daffodils, vibrant red tulips, and soft pink Magnolia trees line the Niagara Parkway.  There are rock gardens, expansive lawns, and a Tea Rose garden.

According to the Niagara Parks Commission “The parklands contain more daffodils than any other park in North America.  Each year Niagara Parks plants over 30,000 daffodils, and over the years they have naturalized expanding to millions of daffodils throughout the Niagara Parks.  To honor this overwhelming number of daffodils the City of Niagara Falls declared the daffodil its official flower on June 5, 1967“.

Many of the summer attractions are open at this time of the year, so you can take Mom to do any attractions she desires.  Mom can cruise past the American Falls and up to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises.  Perhaps Mom prefers lunch with a view and would enjoy Lunch on top of the famous Skylon Tower.  Niagara Falls is the perfect place for a Mother’s Day celebration.  Let Howard Johnsons Niagara Falls help you with your Mother’s Day plans this year.  Save when you book one of our fabulous packages.
