We at the Howard Johnson Plaza by Wyndham by the Falls believe that you the consumer is our most valuable asset and we feel that the price you see advertised on-line or the price you may be quoted on the telephone is the price you should pay with no surprises, plain and simple!
The Howard Johnson Plaza by Wyndham by the Falls is one of the very few properties within Niagara Falls that has made the decision to not add in any hidden fees or surcharges for the services and amenities that we feel should be included with your stay, such as full use of our Pools, Hot Tub, Fitness Center as well as our robust High-Speed WIFI microwaves and fridges within the guestrooms and all other amenities that you would expect to be included in our advertised rate. We want our guest to feel comfortable that when you arrive and check-in to our wonderful property that you are not surprised with any additional hidden fees that you did not budget for, therefore the price you see is the price you pay (excluding government HST and Municipal tax) and $15 parking charge per night per vehicle if applicable).
Municipal Accommodation Tax
The City of Niagara Falls passed By-law No. 2018–104 on to implement a mandatory Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) calculated at a rate of TWO DOLLARS ($2.00) per night of occupancy of transient accommodation in accordance with Part XII.1 of the Municipal At, 2001, S.O. 2001 c. 25, as amended, and the Municipal Accommodation Tax Regulation O. Reg. 435/17, effective January 1, 2019.
The Municipal Accommodation Tax will apply to the purchase of accommodations provided for a continuous period of 30 days or less.
The Municipal Accommodation Tax must be identified as a separate item on the invoice or receipt, as the case may be.
