The Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory is pleased to present “Swamp Creatures”, a new family-friendly educational exhibit. Featuring animals from the world’s wetlands, the new exhibit created by Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo of Ottawa, will run from February 8 to May 11.
Zoo educators will be on site daily (except Wednesdays) to lead captivating educational programs and interactive sessions for visitors.
The Swamp Creatures exhibit will include species such as: Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, Dumeril’s Monitor, Alligator Snapping Turtle, Stinkpot Turtle (indigenous), Pink Salmon Bird-eating Tarantula, Bullfrog, Budgett's Frog, Norwegian Rats, Cotton Mouth, Green Anaconda, Yellow Anaconda and the Malaysian Blood Python. The fully accessible Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory is located at 2565 Niagara Parkway, on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and School of Horticulture. The new exhibit is included with regular paid admission. Little Ray’s Reptile Zoo is one of Canada’s largest sanctuaries for unwanted pet reptiles. None of the animals on display were taken from the wild.
